Among the Rajasthan Hotels and Jaisalmer hotels The Mirvana nature resort is recognized for its unique product as it is one of the only camp Hotel which operates twelve month in Thar desert, We are situated at Rajasthan in India in the Golden city of Jaisalmer, a city known for many historical places like – Jaisalmer Fort has the distinction of being the second oldest fort in Rajasthan and being the oldest living fort in India, the main attractions inside the fort are Raj Mahal (Royal palace), Jain temples, Laxminath Temple, 4 massive gateways and Merchant Havelis and haveli’s with very rich heritage and architecture.
If you are looking for a real luxurious experience with a true Indian flavor, then we are the right place for you, as we are the best camp hotel in Jaisalmer category.
In keeping with our philosophy of ‘Desert Wild Bush Luxury’, the focus of your stay at Mirvana nature resort is the wilderness around you and its Farm land inhabitants. Your accommodation is designed to expose you to the sights and sounds outside your tent or Cottage…
However, we also appreciate that while an exclusive bush experience does not need to be 5 star in the traditional sense, there are a few key comforts that are crucial: a supremely comfortable bed, cotton linen, a choice of pillows, soft bath towels, an en suite bathroom, delicious food and great hosting. The tents and cottages are spacious and naturally comfortable – they are not intended to be 5 star hotel rooms in the bush so do not offer TVs, telephones, minibars or other modern appliances.
An open lounge area near swimming pool with a small reference library provides a great spot to sit out the heat of day or enjoy a quiet sundowner. Our chef provides contemporary Indian, continental cuisine with hints of bush food and native produce; guests may help themselves to the self-service bar at any time.
“Best Camp near Jaisalmer with air conditioned”
Delhi, New York
We arrived after a long days drive from Jodhpur and just initially coming up the long driveway hinted at escape from the outside. We were immediately greeted by the staff, offered a welcome drink, and then seen to our royal Shikar Deluxe camp . It all felt very homely, but to its credit it was maintaining the things that are currently in place to a high standard, which can’t be said of all the places we stayed. The restaurant area was quite picturesque and the food was very excellent and Tasty. One of the highlights was the private dune Jeep safari with camel ride and pool. Service was very good and they did go out of their way to look after you.
We were blown away by the warm welcome we received and the professionally operated and clean facilities. Definitely stay for more then 3 nights to relax and enjoy the space and comforts that Mirvana offers. The food was by far a highlight and is the highest quality Indian food I’ve sampled after years of traveling around India. The staff were all extremely helpful, happy and prompt. You won’t regret spending some time at Mirvana and will be a highlight of your trip!!!!! Sam
Stayed September 2012, traveled with friends
“Its still good & but growing fast”
I stayed here for the 3rd time & loved the attention. Its a great experience. The resort is well 50km before jaisalmer, so recommended only if you have a car at your disposal. The atmosphere is nice & so is the property. Now the older rooms need to be improved with better amenities & interiors. I understand, the newly constructed rooms are better, but they comparatively seem to be little away from the central dining area. As the resort is growing bigger, the crowd is more so managing also is getting complicated, but the entire Rathore family & their old set of employees work real hard to please you. They really go out of the way. The cultural programme still is almost the same so for repeat customers it might get little boring but then the atmosphere at the bon-fire is still enjoyable. Food is nice, but the dining hall is almost crowded. I feel the management now must try to have 2 separate bon-fires arranged as well two dining halls, as after you come back after a tiring day, sometimes don’t feel to walk so much & be in the queue with the plate for dinner. However, I personally didn’t have any problem as Mr. Gulab gave special attention being regulars at the resort. Many thanks to him & the entire Rathore family. Also the children play area (swigs & merry go round) are in bad shape & need some investment for replacement. I am sure they are looking into it. All in all, its a lovely place to be & inspite of our thinking of trying to find a better property, we finally end up landing here, as children just don’t want to go anywhere else. I have never heard a NO from their staff for anything I have asked them so far in my last 3 visits over last 6 years.
Room Tip: Newer rooms are better, but little off from the central place. Choose between the two!!
“Great place to stay outside Jaisalmer”
Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania
Mirvana Nature Resort is a pleasant hotel comprised of a collection of tents and bungalows, plus dining room, pool, bar etc. just off the main road leading to Jaisalmer. The hotel compound is immaculately kept with mowed lawns and interesting plants and birds. The cabins are large and comfortable. The pool was clean but a bit cool in early March for extended swims. The hotel staff is very friendly — some of them are local people who also work and live on the large farm that surrounds the property. Unasked for, and at no extra charge, we were given an excellent and informative cooking demonstration by the chef, and ate the delicious dishes afterwards. We were also given a “private” dinner for our party of 4 on a little terrace decorated with candles and rose petals –very romantic. This is a good place if you want to stay outside of the city and enjoy a little bit of quiet countryside.
We stayed there as part of an all-inclusive tour so I cannot comment on value for money.
